This is the second strip I've done that has EP from Lethal Doses. This one appeared at the Bench this week. Lethal Doses is already back in production, by the way, and Soup was kind enough to mention this strip in his June 27 Lethal Doses news. I've also been experimenting with gif vs jpg, so this is actually a different image file than the one at the Bench. The Bench requests jpg format strips. This version of Lethal Bench is a 64-color gif and it's smaller and sharper-looking (to my eye anyway) than the jpg. I suppose it's a matter of personal preference whether you like the more accurate colors but occasional blurriness of jpgs, or the sharpness but sometimes wacky palette effects of gifs. Brendan didn't notice the difference either way until I pointed it out, so maybe most people can't tell -- in that case, using the gif here is good since it's smaller!

I also went back to my first all-russ-art strip here (Lethal Settlers, also featuring that loveable scamp EP) and saved it as a gif so it's much smaller. Also It's a Long Way Down has been replaced with a smaller gif version here. So unless the Bench starts taking gifs, come to Ko Fight Club to see these smaller sharper versions of some of my Bench strips...

All is not ideal in gif-land since the Gimp sometimes does wacky stuff when converting an image to palette mode, but some fiddling usually gets it working. And of course for art with lots of colors like gradients, jpg is the way to go.
