Watchmen VI 1 Bench #2500. This was my first Bench strip where I used the pencil shading (instead of ink line) drawing, for the squirrel flashback vision. (I drew this one before Iron Chef and Ghost Dog.) In Watchmen it's a dog, not a squirrel, of course. I was pleased this one serendipitously happened to be the anticipated Bench #2500. I mean, this combines esoteric Watchmen references with good old-fashioned Bench-style squirrel violence! Woohoo! |
