The new Hamlet movie was pretty cool I thought, in a somber gray and blue kind of way. The New York at night feel worked for me. I'd been thinking about a 2B or not 2B gag for a while now (coordinates on a go board), and since I enjoyed this movie, it felt like a good time for it! I couldn't figure out how to draw Ethan Hawke comic-style, so I tried the digital painting approach just for fun, inspired by the moody movie poster photo, and ended up with this weird pseudo-arty thing.
Despite what certain naysayers (including my misguided pal Wendy) might think, Ethan Hawke was good as the melancholy Dane. And that haunting Acceleradeck track "Greentone" played during the closing credits was a perfect way to wind it all down.
