Party 2001 I felt like drawing Zoie and Zortic in more formal party wear, inspired by the James Bond storyline that ran in Zortic. And I messed around with weird panel shapes just 'cause Zortic often does that... The Lasker go quote is surprisingly difficult to track down, by the way. There's some disagreement even over whether Emanuel Lasker or Edward Lasker said it. I would swear I read it in one of my go books, but I couldn't find it... I posted on rec.games.go and got various leads, but nothing certain. Versions can be found at the Houston Go Club page (If there is intelligent life in space possibly they play chess; most certainly, they play Go.) and at Kiseido (... [it is] something unearthly ... If there are sentient beings on other planets, then they play Go.). This story started January 15. |
