My old Bench cohort CapTVK recently emailed me, reminding me that it's been roughly a year since the Bench died. My first 100 or so comics were all done for the Bench, and it was a wonderful source of inspiration and motivation and ideas. It's a strange thing to realize that most of those thousands of comics made by hundreds of people may be lost forever. There were some real gems among all those crazy comics. CapTVK made this commemorative strip and sent it to me to put up here at KoFC. Clearly it's been a long time since CapTVK made a Bench strip: since this one is wider than the Bench's maximum permitted width of 750 pixels, it wouldn't have been accepted. :) But seriously, thanks for the reminder. The Bench was cool. |
